As a membership, we are setting out to accomplish the following initiatives from our strategic plan.
PVCA’s Strategic Plan
Our mission is to protect the health of our water, land and forest, and promote the well-being of our rural community and economy. We are excited to share this plan with you and invite you to jump in as we move PVCA forward together!
To Protect Our Watershed, We Will...
Motivate our community by celebrating and clearly communicating all of our past watershed accomplishments.
Engage our membership and complete at least one young forest planting with our volunteers.
To Educate Our Community, We Will...
Host and educate adult landowners at local, on-site field days. These events will feature conservation expert and best practices in sustainable land management.
Engage the Penns Valley Area School District with a view to create a district-wide environmental education program and high school PVCA internships.
To Improve Organizational Culture, We Will...
Develop rules of engagement regarding communication between board members, empoyees, key volunteers, teams and committees.
Provide invitations to servant leadership classes and/or other high quality leadership development experiences or opportunities.
